Judith M. Schaible

Judith M. Schaible, affectionately known as Judy, passed away peacefully on February 10, 2025, in Oakhurst, NJ, after a courageous battle with Parkinson’s Disease. She was 88 years old. Born on May 14, 1936, in Hoboken, NJ, Judy lived a life marked by love, dedication, and service to her family and community. A beloved homemaker, her warmth and generosity extended beyond her home into the lives of all who knew her. Judy had a passion for cooking and catering. Her home was always filled with warmth and delicious aromas, as she delighted in preparing meals for any number of people. Above all, she cherished the time spent caring for her children and grandchildren. She and her late husband, Tony, shared a love for simple pleasures, often seen together at garage sales searching for hidden treasures, their favorite catchphrase being “fifty cents at a garage sale!” They also enjoyed vacations in Vermont, a tradition that spanned many years. A fan of classic cinema, Judy enjoyed many evenings watching John Wayne movies. A devoted member of the Oakhurst First Aid Squad for over 30 years, Judy served as Captain and lovingly earned the title of "Mother Superior “. Her compassion and leadership inspired many within her community, leaving a lasting legacy of service. Judy was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 63 years, Tony; her parents, John and Mae Bisso; her dear sister, Margaret Camassa; and her grandson, Jordan Scott Schaible. She is survived by her loving children: son Anthony, Jr. and his wife Pamela, daughters Sharon Ranaudo, LuGene and her husband Lawrence DiNapoli,and Susan and her husband Steven Stokhamer. Judy was a cherished grandmother to Nicholas and Mary Kate Schaible, Anthony Ranaudo, Ashlee Ranaudo-Blanc (Rob), Jennifer Venice, J.D. Farruggio, Kristina Kiely (Stuart), Kimberly Stokhamer, and Michael DiNapoli (Bea). Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren: Lily, Thomas, and James Venice, Crew and Harvey Kiely, Roman Ranaudo-Blanc, Isabella and Emilia DiNapoli, and a soon to be born great-granddaughter. She is also survived by her sister, Linda Rapps, who held a special place in her heart. Judy will be fondly remembered by her family and friends for her unwavering love, vibrant spirit, and the joy she brought into their lives. Her memory will forever remain a guiding light in the hearts of those who loved her. A memorial visitation to honor Judy’s life will be held on Friday, February 21, 2025, at Bongarzone Funeral Home, located at 2400 Shafto Road, Tinton Falls, NJ, from 9:30 to 11 AM. Funeral Service at 11 AM followed by internment at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Neptune. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Judy’s memory to her favorite charity, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. May Judy rest in eternal peace, reunited with her beloved Tony and those who have gone before her.
