Anthony Thomas Saldutti

Anthony Thomas Saldutti died suddenly on Tuesday, November 15th, 2016 in Port St. Lucie, FL. Anthony is the son of Thomas Saldutti and Erika Saldutti and older brother to Emily and TJ Saldutti, all of Ocean Township. He is also survived by his paternal grandmother Doris Saldutti, his maternal grandparents, Joan and Ed Andersen and many adoring aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Felix Saldutti and his dear cousin Christopher Danchisko. Anthony was a graduate of Ocean Township High School, class of 2008. He was a lifelong resident of New Jersey, prior to his move to Florida this year. From an early age, Anthony delighted family members and friends with effortless and gourmet meal preparation. It was a passion that ultimately prompted his decision to study Culinary Arts at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. Eventually, Anthony was able to combine his love of cooking with his love of working with people, especially the elderly, when he became the head chef at a nursing home. His very kind personality and easygoing and patient disposition endeared him to the nursing home's staff and residents. He connected with them in a very genuine way. In recent years, caring for others took precedence over all else, and Anthony became a Certified Nursing Assistant with AristaCare in Manchester, NJ. It was his goal to one day become an RN. He would have most certainly achieved that goal, and his strong desire to help others would have made it an ideal and successful career path for him. Anthony adored the Saldutti family dogs, Coco, Bella, and Brooklyn, with Coco holding a very special place in his heart, as he was the family's first pet. Coco was so gentle and, in many ways, his beautiful personality traits mirrored Anthony's, which is why they had such a special bond. A boy and his dog...a lovely image and pure relationship! Anthony enriched the lives of everyone with whom he ever came in contact. He had countless friends and made them very easily everywhere that he went. He was someone anyone would be proud to call their friend, as he was accepting, non-judgmental, and forgiving. Very simply, he was a sweet soul who could light up any room that he walked into with his beautiful smile and big twinkling eyes. In every picture of him, his wonderful spirit shines through, and he was happy in that moment. Anthony had the ability to express his feelings by sketching beautiful pieces of art for himself and those whom he loved. It was a talent that he shared with his Grandpa Felix and his Aunt Denise. In recent years, he was comforted and motivated by certain scriptures that provided a compass for him, as he journeyed through life's ups and downs. But in spite of some challenges and difficult times, he never gave up trying to achieve his dreams and worked so very hard to lead a happy and productive life. His family will always be proud of him for that and thankful for their joyous times together. Anthony had a loving family who cherished him and always supported all of his efforts. He will forever be in their hearts and missed each and every day. Their lives will never be the same, but they are thankful to God and feel truly blessed to have had him for the time that they did.
