William E. Strack

William E. Strack, 96, of Seabrook Village Tinton Falls, passed away on Thursday March 7, 2024, at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. He was born and raised in Jersey City, NJ. and lived in North Arlington for 40 years before moving to Spring Lake Heights in 1996. William has been a resident of Seabrook Village since 2019. He received his bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from Fairleigh Dickinson University and worked for Lucent Technologies (formerly Western Electric Company) in Kearny, Whippany, and Newark for 40 years before retiring as senior engineer in 1984. He served in the United States Navy from 1945 to 1946. William was a member of the American Legion Joseph E. Frobisher Post 99 in Kearny and the Telephone Pioneers of America. William loved bowling, he was also very proud of his pre-World War train collection - which is really pretty extensive! Golf was another favorite, and living on a golf course enabled him to play just about every day. He participated in tournaments and fundraisers, and actually made his first 'Hole In One' at the young age of 90 years old! Driving his grandchildren around the grounds on his golf cart was always a special activity. But, I think his great-grandchildren were the light of his life. He loved to show off the pictures and videos to everyone. Sundays were usually his day of rest and watching his favorite teams play - The Mets and The Jets. We will miss our early morning phone calls to discuss our finances, shows he watched on the History Channel, and what he was currently eating for his 3rd breakfast. He was an amazing Father, Grandfather, Gpa, Papi, and dear friend. He will be missed beyond measure by so many. He is pre-deceased by his parents Ernest and Margaret Strack and is survived by his loving children; Carin Bartels (Robert), Diane Bradley, and Robert Strack (Susan); his cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren, James Bradley (Victoria), Kaitlyn Bradley (Steve), Nicholas Strack, Alyssa Vaillancourt (David), Andrew, Alexander, Alianna, and soon to be a fourth great grandchild. He is also survived by his stepdaughters Kathleen Watkins (Norm) and Jane Ashworth (Clay); and step-granddaughter Kylee. A memorial gathering will be held on Monday March 25, 2024, from 10am to 12 noon at the Bongarzone Funeral Home, 2400 Shafto Road, Tinton Falls. The burial of cremated remains will follow at Brigadier General William C.
