Ruth T Nisay

Ruth Nisay was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She passed away surrounded by her loved ones on September 29, 2024, at age 58. She was born to Vicente and Monena Tiangson on February 12, 1966. She grew up in the Philippines with her brothers: Rene, Roberto, and predeceased Raul. With her parents and siblings, she loved spending time at the beach and cooking with her cousin. She moved to America in 1978 and met the love of her life and beloved husband, Conrado in 1986. They spent endless nights having fun in Atlantic City, watching their favorite movies at the theater, and spending their winter breaks in the Poconos every year. They married on July 25, 1987, and built their life in Lincroft, New Jersey. They continued their life together as loving parents and had three children: Ashley, Conrad, and Allyson. Ruth worked as an insurance claims specialist for Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield for 37 years. She enjoyed traveling and trying new cuisines around the world. Her most memorable vacations were the family trip around Europe to celebrate her and Conrado’s 27th anniversary and to the Philippines where she was able to show her favorite places growing up. Ruth always had the best fashion sense. You could always find her shopping for a brand-new dress and shoes that somehow managed to make her even more beautiful than she already was. Ruth especially loved spending time with her family. She welcomed Jeramey, Jenny, and Freddie with open arms as her own children. She found a new sense of love in her role as “momshie” caring for her grandchildren: Kalani, Charlotte, and Cameron. She made sure to spend as much time as possible watching her grandchildren grow up, whether it meant traveling across the country to Hawai’i or a road trip away to Virginia. She was there for each and every milestone for her husband, children, and grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Asia America Initiative.
