Michele Gregos

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Michele Gregos Ibrahim, who peacefully left this world on June 26, 2025, at the age of 61, surrounded by the love and comfort of her family. Michele’s legacy is one of love, joy, kindness, and warmth—traits she shared with everyone she encountered and those whose lives she touched. Michele was born in Long Branch, New Jersey, on May 24, 1964, to Angelo and Helen Gregos. Raised in Deal, New Jersey, Michele attended Deal School and graduated in the class of 1983 from Ocean Township High School. A lifelong Jersey girl, she lived near the shore her entire life, with her favorite place being her West End hideaway where she loved to host friends, cooking, and breathing in the beautiful ocean breeze on her walks near the beach. As a proud member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Ocean Township, Michele embraced her Greek heritage and roots. She grew up in the construction industry, supporting her father’s various business ventures. Later, she became a partner in Ascend Construction Management in Eatontown, NJ. Michele and her husband Taha Ibrahim later ventured out to create Mixalia Enterprises, where they continued the family’s tradition of construction and public works contracting throughout New Jersey, building civic and institutional spaces for various public entities across the state. Michele’s infectious laughter and boundless energy were a beacon of joy to all who knew her. Her love, kindness, and warmth were unmatched, and she always brought happiness to everyone she encountered. In 2001, Michele married the love of her life, Taha Ibrahim, and together they raised three children: Helayna, Amira, and Michael and her loyal dog Chelsea. As a dedicated wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend, Michele was the heart of her family, offering unwavering love and support to those closest to her. Michele is survived by her beloved sister, Maria, and her husband Savas Tsivicos, their children Haralambos, Ellpetha, and Evangelos; her brother-in-law, Dr. Michael Eid, and his wife Debbie, along with their children Mathew and Leah, her many loving cousins; and a host of lifelong friends who were cherished members of her extended family. For all who knew Michele, they understood how much she loved to chat, make new friends, and embrace everyone along her way. Michele was predeceased by her father, Angelo M. Gregos, and her mother, Helen Mary Cavadel Gregos. In lieu of flowers donations are to be sent to the AHEPA charitable foundation, Journey to Greece program which helps send youth to experience the beauty and love that Michele loved so much about Greece and her vibrant heritage. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. George Greek Orthodox Church (1033 W Park Ave, Ocean Township, NJ 07712).
