Marie Ghahary

Marie Ghahary, 89, of Palm Bay, Florida and Tinton Falls, NJ passed away on Thursday August 26, 2021, at the Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. She was born in Hackensack, NJ and lived with her loving husband George in Tinton Falls for 25 years and most recently became residents of Palm Bay, Florida. She is predeceased by her son Darius "Dash" Fakhr Ghahary in 2017. She is survived by her husband of 63 years George Gahary, a daughter; Dahria Chasmar (Chris), her sons; David Gahary (Simona), Jacques Gahary (Gio) and Scott Ghahary. She is also survived by her ten cherished grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and the mother of Darius' children; Joanne Ghahary. Marie was a devoted wife, beloved mother, and fun grandma. She worked for the family business as the manager/ bookkeeper. Marie loved to play cards, go to Atlantic City, play pinball, and rescue animals. She loved to laugh and have fun, with her siblings, friends, children, and grandchildren. She loved becoming a grandma and was thrilled to become a great grandma. She was a compassionate woman, that cared deeply for animals, and rescued many dogs, cats, and birds. She was a hardworking woman that never sat still, and always put her needs last. She put the people she loved and cared for first, always sacrificing to please her loved ones. Her favorite activity was to spend quality time with her husband. She loved traveling back and forth with him between their homes in Florida and New Jersey. She enjoyed going out with him to get things for her kids and grandkids. Her favorite things were candy, pizza, and coffee. She was very generous, empathetic, and caring. Marie loved reading the bible, watching TV shows with her husband, and collecting dolls. She loved Jesus and looked forward to seeing him in heaven. To our dear mother and wife to our dear father: While she had a hard life at least she was loved and got to enjoy spending lots of time with our father. She said many a time these were the happiest days of her life spending them with our father. May she forever rest in peace in Jesus’s arms and with our brother Dash and the rest of our departed family. Visitation will be from 1pm to 5pm on Thursday September 2, 2021 at the Bongarzone Funeral Home, 2400 Shafto Road, Tinton Falls, NJ. All other services are Private.
