In Loving Memory of JoAnn Honeycutt August 11, 1942 – November 29, 2024 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of JoAnn Honeycutt, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. JoAnn passed away peacefully on November 29, 2024, at the age of 82, leaving behind a legacy of love and resilience. Born on August 11, 1942, in Long Branch, New Jersey and raised in Highlands, JoAnn grew up and pursued a career in drafting and circuit-board design. Over the course of her career, she would work on components of the Space Shuttle and the Hubble Space Telescope. Her dedication and expertise earned her the respect and admiration of her colleagues. JoAnn was devoted to her family. She is survived by Don Honeycutt, her faithful husband of 60 years; her son Don Honeycutt Jr. and his wife Charmaine Honeycutt; her grandchildren Claire and John Honeycutt; her sister Karen Mount-Taylor and her nephew Jared Taylor; and her brothers-in-law Larry, Junior and Billy Honeycutt of Rockingham and Hamlet, NC. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Josephine Mount, and her brother-in-law Michael Taylor. In retirement, she enjoyed baking with her granddaughter Claire, drawing with her grandson John, playing games with her husband, traveling and beach days with her sister Karen and spending time with her cat Louis. In any situation, her kindness and warmth were felt by all those around. JoAnn Honeycutt will forever be remembered as a dedicated and loving family member, and an inspiration whose impact will continue to be felt far beyond her time with us. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 5, 2024, from 9 am – 10:30 am at Bongarzone Funeral Home, 2400 Shafto Rd, Tinton Falls, NJ. The funeral service will begin at 10:30 a.m., with interment immediately thereafter at Bay View Cemetery in Leonardo, NJ. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Sharing Network Foundation (https://www.sharingnetworkfoundation.org/) in JoAnn's memory, in honor of the organization that afforded her many additional years of vitality through the precious gift of a life-saving organ transplant.
