Jacqueline E. Morgan

Jacqueline Elaine Reddick Morgan was born on January 8, 1935, in Montclair, NJ to the parents of Robert Reddick and Ella Christian Reddick. She was baptized at an early age at the Union Baptist Church by the Reverend D.L. Rice on November 3, 1946. As a youth she played the piano for recitals at the church. She attended the public school system in Montclair and graduated from Montclair High School, after graduation she attended Montclair State University and Upsala College. After college she began working for Prudential Insurance Company, in Newark, NJ. On her summer breaks, she and her friends would take their vacations at the shore. It was at the shore where she met the love of her life Richard and on May 26, 1956, she married Richard Leon Morgan at the Union Baptist Church. From this union they had eight daughters. Jacqueline was a stay-at-home, mom until she decided to go back to work for Sears and Roebuck, Ocean Township, as a credit collector for many years. She then took a job working for the US Army, Research Laboratory Bureau of Directorate of Operation, Fort Monmouth NJ until her retirement. Jacqueline was very active in her community; she was the Block Parent for Denbo Drive, she started a drum corps called the Neptune Forestettes which traveled all over New Jersey and New York. She was the mom that kids would go for advice and needed someone to talk to. Even though she was busy raising her family she made time to write stories, her favorites were mystery stories. She also started scrapbooking and it became her passion. When she found out how Facebook worked, she became the Facebook Queen from New Jersey to California keeping in touch with family and friends. On June 26, 2025, Jacqueline had fulfilled her purpose here on earth to love her family and knowing God had a place for her to rest. She was predeceased by her parents Robert and Ella Reddick and grandson Andrea McKelvia Jacqueline leaves to mourn her loving husband of 69 years, Richard Leon Morgan, her 8 daughters: Karen Campo (Ronald), Kim Evans (Rev. Benjamin A. Evans Sr.), Jan Bishop (Camo), Jill Morgan, Judy Morgan Simmons, Karla Morgan, Tracey Morgan and Tina Morgan. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, sister-in-law Arlene Austin, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
