Carol M Broyles

Carol M. Broyles, age 77, passed from this life into the next on Monday, March 1st, 2021, while at home with family. Carol was born in Philadelphia, PA. She grew up in Eatontown, New Jersey, and raised her family there alongside her loving husband of 58 years, Jacob Louis Broyles, Sr. Carol was a loving and devoted wife, mother, “Nanny”, sister, neighbor and friend. She lived a life characterized by inner-strength and sacrifice. She did what moms do best, she gave; always giving more than she received in return. Her passion was her family and she was deeply involved in the lives of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Carol was an avid crochet “artist.” If you are reading this, then there is a good chance that at some point you received a blanket, mittens, stocking or outfit for you or a family member. Her cooking, card writing and gift giving were legendary. The family will greatly miss her unmatched meatballs and sausage, home-made gravy (spaghetti sauce to some!), matzah ball soup, pumpkin bread, chocolate cream pies and one-of-a-kind “hot dog stew.” Her enthusiasm for holidays, especially Christmas and Halloween, blessed the lives of many. Her family was spoiled with boxes and boxes of wrapped gifts at Christmas. Kids from all over came to her house to receive some of the largest treat bags ever given out at Halloween. May her life of steadily “being there” for her family and friends, remind us to count our blessings every day, share our appreciation and words of love for each other while we can, and live lives that look out for the interests of others. Carol taught us these things by her example. Carol M. Broyles was preceded in death by her parents Clarence and Wanda (Clark) Ingledue, siblings Margaret, Joseph, Maryann, James and Cecelia. She is survived by her husband Jacob L. Broyles Sr., son and daughter-in-law Michael and Tina Broyles, daughter Wanda Broyles (Crist), son Jacob L. Broyles Jr. (Lou), son and daughter-in-law Scott and Lisa Broyles, brother/son-in-law Edwin Brister, 11 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and numerous friends who are considered extended family. A private graveside ceremony will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to POAC (Parents of Autistic Children), 1989 Route 88, Brick, NJ, 08724.
